In an epoch of unification marked by globalism and the neo-liberal economic relations, as well as consumption that changes the landscape of our everyday lives and makes it more structured, organized and controlled, when the rules of the game are more and more restricted, identities and stereotypes become fundamental, the art world is institutionalized and instrumentalized, it becomes less and less possible to identify available spaces for innovative, creative and experimental activity.
That's why one of the ways that is left is to intervene into the already organized society around us or, may be, to escape into the void?

Target group
15 young artists from Moldova interested in photography and new medias
The project goal
To stimulate the critical thinking within the artistic cirlcles by deconstruction of the space situated between the aesthetic and social fields and promotion of the youth culture.
Through the photo art projects Dialog and e(X)tindere realized in 2003-2004 the Association Oberliht aimed to offer the young artists from Moldova the possibility to materialize their own ideas with the help of photography, and in the case of the project Interventions the objective is to deepen their knowledge in what we can call the digital image is.
The project intention
To define multiple interventions when conceiving an image with the help of photography and digital technologies, as well as to understand the phenomenon of intervention from psychological, social, aesthetic and other perspectives. What is an -intervention- and how should we coope with it, what does it require from the part of the one who intervenes? Accordingly to the Explicative Dictionary the intervention is – the action of coming between / the action of becoming involved in a situation, esp. so as to prevent sth. happening or to try to help sb; accordingly to us intervention is much more complex and is raising very diverse questions (starting with socio-political and finishing with artistic ones), that should concern any contemporary artist as working material, medium or art in its proper sense. Ultimately the intervention is an assumed and programmed action that intendes to produce a change.
The projects proposed by the participants will take into consideration the social sphere that surrounds us. The image of the world will be trasposed into shape and visually communicated to the others. More than that, the artist will feel free and at his/her ease to intervene there where he/she would think is necessary.
The Photoshop as a tool will serve the participants throughout the project. We encourage the experiment and the use of new technonogies besides Photoshop and other programs.

The project is structured in 2 phases (theoretical and practical):
I. A number of presentations, meetings and discussions organized with the help of renown artists and photographers, curators and gallerists from Moldova and abroad.
